Get to Know Hunter Parrish, the Actor Playing Rebecca's Love Interest on This Is Us

This Is Us fans can agree that we're doing just fine when it comes to good looking men on the show. Between adult Kevin, grown Randall, and yes, both young and old Jack, we are set — but when a mysteriously attractive blond man swooped in and surprised Rebecca during the season three premiere, we had no idea that it was the strikingly attractive Hunter Parrish hiding behind that retro mustache. While producers did an excellent job of concealing the actor during the final seconds of the episode, a quick glance at the credits acknowledged Hunter as "Alan," who fans are assuming is a former beau of Rebecca's.

Personally, I've been swooning over Hunter since he stole my (and every girl in Agrestic's) heart as Mary-Louise Parker's rebellious son on Weeds, but without further adieu, let us introduce you to Hunter Parrish: the strikingly attractive actor who we're *hopefully* going to be seeing a lot more of on This Is Us (sorry, Jack)!

  1. He was born in Virginia. Hunter was born on May 13, 1987 in Richmond, VA, and grew up outside Dallas in Plano, TX.
  2. You've definitely seen him on your screen before. If you don't recognize the 31-year-old actor from his recurring role as Silas Botwin on Weeds, it's possible you know him as the bully, Stan, who Matthew Perry's daughter dated in 17 Again, or one of the adorable children in It's Complicated. Hunter played Jeffrey Grant on The Good Wife, Kyle on The Following, and Clay on Quantico. He also appeared on CSI, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Hand of God, and Good Girls Revolt.
  3. He's also a singer and a Broadway star. In addition to his evolving TV and film résumé, Hunter has a passion for Broadway. He portrayed Jesus in Godspell and took on the role of Melchior in Spring Awakening. He released his first EP called Guessing Games in 2012.
  4. He's taken! Hunter married his longtime girlfriend Katheryn Wahl in September 2015 in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in San Luis Obispo, CA. According to Us Weekly, the couple met on the set of Weeds in 2010, when Kathryn worked as a "personal assistant" on the Showtime series. They share an adorable dog named Luna.
