In April 2019, Hoda surprised her Today Show coanchors by announcing the arrival of her second daughter, Hope Catherine (pictured right), on a phone call with them all. After sharing that she had news, Hoda told them: "It's a girl! And her name is Hope."
Hoda celebrated her daughter's first birthday on April 12 with a Sesame Street-themed party. She shared adorable photos of her homemade cake, a Zoom video call celebration, and Haley helping her younger sister open presents.
