Swoon! Harry Reassures Meghan That She Looks Amazing 5 Months After Welcoming Archie

Following their royal tour of Southern Africa, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out for the annual WellChild Awards in London on Tuesday. The Duke of Sussex appeared to be in good spirits as he sported a blue suit, while Meghan looked radiant in a green dress, which she previously wore when she and Harry announced their engagement in November 2017. The ceremony honored sick children and their caregivers, and Harry has been a patron of the charity since 2017. The outing also marked Meghan's second time at the event (she attended for the first time last year) and their first joint engagement since returning from Southern Africa.

10-year-old Emmie Narayn-Nicholas — who won an award for her Emmie's Kitchenn initiative — had the honor of meeting the duke and duchess and reportedly told Hello! magazine that they were "lovely." "When she sat down I said, 'Oh, you look amazing and you've just had a baby.' [Harry] looked at her and went, 'See, I told you!' in a way that we would," Emmie added, referencing baby Archie's birth back in May. "It did feel like they were very down to earth."

Harry also delivered an emotional speech about the importance of WellChild. "It has been over a decade since I first came to these awards, and every year, they never fail to surprise and inspire me," Harry said. "Now, I'm a father. Last year, when my wife and I attended, we knew we were expecting our first child. No one else did at the time, but we did."

Harry and Meghan's appearance comes amid Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal tour of Pakistan. The couple kicked off the five-day trip on Monday in Rawalpindi, and on Wednesday, they enjoyed a celebration by the Kalash people. See more of Meghan and Harry's outing ahead!
