Jerry Harris From Netflix's Cheer Interviewed Stars at the Oscars, and It Was Amazing

Lights, camera, mat talk! On Feb. 9, Jerry Harris from Netflix's Cheer had the exciting opportunity to attend the Oscars as a correspondent for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The 20-year-old Navarro College cheerleader brought his energy to the red carpet as he interviewed stars, such as Idina Menzel, Janelle Monáe, Brad Pitt, Billie Eilish, and Mindy Kaling. When he wasn't chatting up celebrities, he was sending Navarro's head cheer coach, Monica Aldama, a sweet birthday message.

Understandably, Jerry had a minor freakout after speaking with Brad. "The whole place literally went quiet when I was talking to him," he said on camera after the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star walked away. "That says a lot itself. I can't believe everybody went quiet just because I was talking to Brad Pitt. Like, he stopped for me. I'm literally just over here waving, like, 'Who am I?' He just stopped for me and he was just so happy and so thrilled to see me, just as well as I was so thrilled to see him."

He also shared a cute moment with Billie as they congratulated each other on two impressive accomplishments: Billie's big night at the Grammys on Jan. 26 and Jerry's NCA National Championship win with his Navarro team. "Well, we got a lot in common!" he joked. Jerry also let Billie try on his championship ring after the singer complimented the flashy accessory.

Following the red carpet interviews, Jerry attended Vanity Fair's annual afterparty and brought Andy Cosferent, Narravo's other cheer coach. At the soirée, he partied with guests, including 13 Reasons Why star Tommy Dorfman. Look ahead to see more photos from Jerry's unforgettable night!
