Usher Says It's Important For Him to "Be at Every Step" of His 4 Kids' Lives

Usher's third child — and Goicoechea's first — a daughter named Sovereign, was born on Sept. 30, 2020. A day before announcing Goicoechea's second pregnancy at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards in last year, Usher shared the meaning behind his baby girl's unique name, stating, "Sovereign is such a beautiful word and name to me. 'A supreme ruler' is obviously the defined name," he said. "She's definitely ruling the household, but Sovereign Bo . . . Bo is at the end of it, so, my little Reign-Bo."
