Gage previously shared that his "The White Lotus" costar and "Saturday Night Live" legend Molly Shannon encouraged him to share a Zoom audition clip where a director was caught criticizing the size of Gage's apartment. "I was having some drinks with Molly and we were talking about our worst audition stories, and I showed her this video and . . . she just basically told me you have to post it. I mean, actors will relate to it," he shared with Entertainment Weekly.
Although Gage was initially nervous to share the video, it paid off with the amount of support he got from other stars like Joe Jonas, Chase Stokes, and more.
