Although Gage has spent most of his Hollywood career in front of the camera, he's also been credited as a writer. Together with "Euphoria" producer Phoebe Fisher, Gage cowrote and starred in a comedy film titled "Down Low." The movie — whose cast includes Gage, Zachary Quinto, and Audra McDonald — is about "a deeply repressed man, the uninhibited young man that gives him a happy ending, and all the lives they ruin along the way," according to Deadline. It premiered at SXSW on March 11, 2023.
