According to Insider, Hurts reportedly met Burrows while they were both students at the University of Alabama in 2016, though it's unclear when they started dating. Hurts spent three years playing football at the university and won a National Championship as a sophomore under the leadership of coach Nick Saban in 2017.
Burrows herself has an impressive résumé. According to her LinkedIn profile, she graduated from Alabama in 2017 with a bachelor's of arts and sciences in political science and Spanish. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Burrows went on to get an MBA in business administration from Alabama. She currently works as an artificial intelligence partner at IBM.
Hurts confirmed his relationship with Burrows in his April Essence cover story, telling the outlet, "I'm not married or anything like that. But I am spoken for." He continued of his girlfriend, "I knew a long time ago. I mean, to this point in my life, that's an irreplaceable feeling. I think that's what allowed us to get to where we are now."
Since stepping into the spotlight with their romance, Hurts and Burrows have only made one notable public appearance together, which was at the 2023 Time100 Next Gala on Oct. 24, where the NFL player was an honoree.
