Where they met: "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"
Jada Pinkett Smith met Will Smith back in 1994 when she auditioned for the part of his girlfriend on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," as reported by Women's Health. She ultimately didn't get the part for being too short, and Smith was married to Sheree Zampino, so a romance was not in the cards at the time.
By 1995, though, Smith realized Pinkett Smith was the one and ultimately divorced Zampino to be with her. After two years of dating, Smith proposed, and the couple got married in December 1997, per Us Weekly. The pair have two children together, son Jaden (born July 1998) and daughter Willow (born October 2000), as well as Smith's son with Zampino, Willard "Trey" Smith III.
In her 2023 memoir "Worthy," Pinkett Smith revealed that she and Smith had been separated since 2016, but have decided to stay together.
