Markle is famously married to Prince Harry, whom she met on a blind date in July 2016. The pair were set up through a friend and didn't have much awareness of the other before meeting for the first time. The Duke of Sussex, however, did reveal in a joint interview with BBC, "I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her. I was like, 'I'm really going to have to up my game here.'"
Harry proposed to Markle in November 2017 while the two were making dinner, and after many public appearances as an engaged couple, they married in a typical royal ceremony on May 19, 2018. The pair share two children together, Prince Archie (born May 2019) and Princess Lilibet (born June 2021). Since 2020, they have stepped away from the British royal family.
