Rosalía and Jenner's first public interaction seemingly happened at the second annual Astroworld festival in November 2019. The "Beso" singer was part of the star-studded lineup that year, while Jenner primarily attended the show to support her on-again, off-again boyfriend Travis Scott.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the makeup mogul watched Rosalía's set from the front row, where she was spotted dancing with a group of friends. Rosalía reportedly noticed Jenner in the crowd and then dedicated a song to her, which appeared to kick off their friendship.
