At one point in time, Long and Barrymore were one of Hollywood's hottest couples. They dated on and off from 2007 to 2010. While discussing their romance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" in September 2022, Barrymore said Long was "the best," adding, "We had so much fun but we were more hedonistic. A little more immature. We would get together, we would break up. It was chaos. It was hella fun."
"We dated for many years, I was very much in love with Justin, you know why? Because he's funny," Barrymore said of her love for Long.
In response, Long said: "Now I feel like I have to be funny to live up to the hype. It was so flattering. You're the funny one. You are one of the funniest people I've ever met. We had a lot of laughs. We laughed all the time."
