The British royal family is marking the start of 2020 with a new portrait! On Friday, Kensington Palace released a special photograph of Prince George with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Prince William. The photo was taken by photographer Ranald Mackechnie in December when 6-year-old George made Christmas puddings at Buckingham Palace as part of the launch of the Royal British Legion's Together at Christmas initiative.

"Happy New Year! A new portrait of The Queen and The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and Prince George has been released to mark the start of a new decade," the palace wrote on Instagram. "Wishing all of our followers a happy and healthy 2020!"

Just last month, the Cambridge family released a precious black-and-white Christmas photo of George with his dad and two siblings, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1. George's uncle, Prince Harry, also released a holiday photo of his own with Meghan Markle and their adorable son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. Hopefully this means we'll be seeing more of George in the months to come!
