Believe It or Not, Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome Have Been Together For Over a Decade

Apparently, the "on-again, off-again" couple took a break at some point, though it's unclear when or for how long. In March 2017, the Daily Mail reported the then-exes were seen having dinner at Craig's in West Hollywood. A little over a week later, Grint and Groome were seen together once again, this time in NYC's SoHo neighborhood.

When Grint was filming the second season of Crackle's crime-comedy series "Snatch" in Spain, the Daily Mail reported his "proud girlfriend" was there for a day watching her beau in action.

Even after seven years of dating, a viral tweet proved that very few people had any idea that Grint and Groome's romantic relationship was a thing. In November 2018, a fan shared a throwback pic of the two stars looking cozy in a since-deleted tweet and wrote, "I was today years old when I found out Georgia from Angus, thongs and perfect snogging has been going out with Ron Weasley since 2011 ????" Considering the tweet got well over 20,000 likes and 5,000 retweets, that fan wasn't the only one surprised by the news.

While hanging out and getting lunch with two friends in London, Grint and Groome were photographed wearing matching wedding bands, according to Mirror — or so it appeared. Groome wore a gold band on that finger, but Grint's own band was worn on the middle finger of his right hand. A rep for the actor denied the possibility of a secret wedding.

Less than a month after a rep for Grint and Groome confirmed the couple were expecting their first child, the latter gave birth to a baby girl. At the time, the couple didn't disclose their child's name, but Grint eventually shared it on Nov. 10, 2020, via an Instagram post. "Hey Instagram....only 10 years late, but here I am," he captioned a photo of him and his daughter. "Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert."

Grint and Groome have been notoriously private about their relationship, rarely even commenting on it in the press. But in January 2021, Glamour published an interview with Grint where he got candid about being a new dad and how his and Groome's relationship has lasted so long. "It's a very natural thing — we're just best friends," he told the outlet. "We're kind of the same person; we think the same way. That's always made it work — that's why it's lasted. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what it is, but it works and it's great."

In a January 2022 appearance on "The Tonight Show," Grint got candid about why he doesn't share photos of Groome on his Instagram. "Ultimately, I think it just doesn't go with my personality," he said to host Jimmy Fallon. "I'm quite a shy person, and the thought of kind of sharing my life just didn't seem like it would really fit."
