One of your favorite childhood books, The BFG, has gotten the movie treatment. While director Steven Spielberg manages to create some beautiful images through the film's digital effects, one of the most magical parts has to be the friendly giant himself. Since the whole film revolves around the unlikely alliance between the BFG and little orphan Sophie, you can bet there is a lot of CGI that went into making those beloved scenes between the two characters just right. Meet Mark Rylance

The English actor may not be a giant (he's actually 5'8"), but he is a pretty big deal. This year, he took home best supporting actor at the Oscars for his role in Bridge of Spies — another Steven Spielberg film. His previous projects also include Wolf Hall, Twelfth Night , and The Other Boleyn Girl.
