Busta Rhymes, The Roots, and Joell Ortiz's Live Performance of Hamilton's "My Shot" Is Flawless
When Lin-Manuel Miranda first announced that he'd recruited a slew of famous rappers and singers to put a modern spin on the Hamilton soundtrack, fans of the Broadway smash promptly lost their minds. Luckily, the Hamilton Mixtape is just as amazing as expected, thanks to a whole bunch of incredibly catchy versions of the original songs. One of the standouts is Nate Ruess, Busta Rhymes, The Roots, and Joell Ortiz's take on "My Shot," which the latter three performed live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday. Between The Roots' Black Thought's dramatic opening and Rhymes's elaborate white fur, it's a must watch.
