You can tell everybody that we never recovered from Elton John and Taron Egerton's surprise "Your Song" duet. The two performed John's famous tune together as part of his farewell tour stop in Brighton on June 9. You'd think we'd be emotionally prepared to see the duo sing together after their "Rocketman" and "Tiny Dancer" renditions, but alas, we're still taken by surprise when they belt out the classics.

This song specifically holds a special place in Egerton's heart, and not only because of his Rocketman role. He sang "Your Song" as an audition piece to get into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when he was 19, according to Yahoo! Entertainment. His opportunity to play John brought him full circle, and it's a tender fact to remember each time they share the stage together.

John himself shared a clip of the performance on Instagram, writing, "Last night was a show I'll never forget. Taron, you wowed the crowd and also the world with your role in #Rocketman."
