These Emotional American Idol Auditions Will Have You Swimming in a Stream of Tears
Although we're only a few episodes into the new season of American Idol, we've already cried ourselves into a puddle, thanks to all the passionate and sentimental auditions thus far. The premiere immediately set the tone by featuring an incredibly emotional performance from 19-year-old contestant Kai the Singer. As soon as she belted The Temptations' 1965 classic "My Girl," the judges — Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan — were brought to tears. Another participant named Shayla "Shayy" Winn — who revealed that she's legally blind — had a similar effect as she sang Andra Day's 2015 anthem "Rise Up." And that's only the beginning. Look ahead to see even more touching moments from this season!
