Ghostbusters: Sigourney Weaver Has Joined the Reboot

McCarthy will lead the cast, reuniting with her Bridesmaids and Spy director Paul Feig.

Jones, who joined SNL this season, will also be part of the Ghostbusters quartet.

Wiig, who also memorably worked with Feig on Bridesmaids, is playing a lead.

The Wire star Michael K. Williams has joined the cast as a character named Hawkins.

Andy Garcia is playing the NYC mayor in the reboot.

Veep star Walsh will costar as a character named Rourke.

Comedian Neil Casey will play the villain.

It's been deleted, but original cast member Aykroyd posted a tweet saying, "On GB set shooting my scene with funny beautiful Kristen Wiig Lady GB's are adorable, hilarious and badass Exhilarating! #ghostbusters." Entertainment Weekly confirmed Aykroyd will appear in the film, but there's no official word on who he'll play.

Original Ghostbuster Bill Murray will appear in the new film, despite being famously hesitant about filmmakers taking on a reboot.

Potts, who played the team's secretary in the first movies, will appear.

Original Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson has agreed to return.

Director Paul Feig tweeted that original cast member Sigourney Weaver would be in the reboot.
