All the Fun You Missed If You Skipped This Year's MTV Movie Awards
The MTV Movie Awards took over LA on Sunday, and we glued ourselves to the screens to bring you the biggest laughs, the most heartfelt moments, and, of course, shirtless Zac Efron. If you missed out on the fun, never fear! We're here to take you through every step of the night, including the crazy red carpet, the full list of winners, and the best moments from the spotlight. Keep reading to see everything you missed or, if you watched the show, everything you'll probably want to experience again.
- Let's go to where it all began: the red carpet! For a quick reference guide, here's every celebrity who walked the carpet, plus everything everyone wore and close-up shots of all the gorgeous hair and makeup.
- Speaking of hair and makeup, our favorites were probably Shailene Woodley's undercut braid and everything about Jennifer Lopez.
- If you're feeling like you want to weigh in on tonight's looks, don't forget to vote in our best dressed poll!
- Of course, we couldn't talk about the red carpet without bringing up some of the more adventurous looks we saw. For instance, can we talk about Bai Ling's insane choice of dress? Like, wow.
- Rebel Wilson had a pretty interesting outfit as well. We actually kind of want to know where we can get it.
- Once the show got started, we were feeling emotions left and right. Vin Diesel had a heartwarming moment when he sang "See You Again" from Furious 7, and Shailene Woodley's sweet words to John Green had us — and John Green himself — weeping.
- There were definitely plenty of funny moments, too! Channing Tatum totally twerked on stage, all thanks to Jennifer Lopez.
- Let's not forget the adorable celebrity kid moments from the evening. First of all, we barely recognized Judd Apatow's daughter. Iris is so grown up now! And Mark Ruffalo was almost too cute to handle with his daughter.
- While it wasn't as epic as last year, Zac Efron had another shirtless moment, and we were thrilled about it. Also, he got a little aggressive with Dave Franco during his acceptance speech.
- Meanwhile, in the audience, Amber Rose and Amy Schumer totally made out. You know, pretty standard stuff.
- As the show continued, the Avengers assembled to present Robert Downey Jr. with the MTV Generation Award. You have to watch his acceptance speech, because it's pretty moving.
- The Avengers cast also debuted a new clip of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Our favorite part, though, was Chris Evans's and Chris Hemsworth's gorgeous blue eyes.
- Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley won for best kiss! Which is sad, because Ansel wasn't even there. He made up for it, though, by sending a charming message to Shailene Woodley.
- Backstage, Sofia Vergara was trying to have an intimate moment with Joe Manganiello, and Reese Witherspoon was totally third-wheeling it.
- Don't forget to check out the full list of winners!
