It's only fitting that Kelly Clarkson brought along a gospel choir to help her perform "American Woman" at the CMT Awards on Wednesday night, because God clearly blessed her vocal chords. Fresh off of her hosting gig at the ACMs, the ridiculously talented 36-year-old hit the stage in Nashville to belt out her cover of The Guess Who's classic song, and if we had to guess, it left the audience wanting more, more, more.
Between Clarkson's powerful performance and Carrie Underwood's stunning rendition of "Cry Pretty," we're feeling a pretty awesome amount of girl power at the moment. (But yes, we're still freaking out about the Backstreet Boys . . . let's be real.) Watch Clarkson do her thing below!
