The Killers and Jimmy Kimmel Made a Christmas Song About a Lump of Coal

The Killers write a holiday song for charity every year, and this year, Jimmy Kimmel offered his songwriting services. His ideas ("A Very YOLO Christmas") weren't great, but we did learn how much he loves Taylor Swift. In the clip below, watch him invade the band's studio with ugly Christmas sweaters and contribute (poorly) to the brainstorm process. The real highlight is the music video for the song they eventually agree on, "Joel, the Lump of Coal," about a lonely lump of coal who just wants to be a beloved Christmas present. It's very reminiscent of those '70s claymation specials, and the song is really good — better than Meghan Trainor's Thanksgiving carols, anyway.
