Netflix's upcoming original true crime docuseries about one of the most high-profile missing person cases in recent history arrives on March 15, and if the trailer for The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann is anything to go by, the show will feature a huge number of different theories about what actually happened to the little girl.

For those of you who have forgotten the key facts in the case: McCann was 3 years old when she was taken from a family villa in the Portuguese holiday resort Praia de Luz. She was sleeping in the same room as her younger twin siblings while her parents were having dinner with their friends in a nearby restaurant when she vanished. McCann's disappearance garnered widespread coverage from international media and still remains one of the world's most high-profile missing person investigations.

McCann's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have launched numerous further investigations to find out what happened to their daughter, with an investigation still underway. The Netflix original is eight documentary-style episodes and is said to feature 40 contributors including investigators, interviews, testimonies, and never-before-seen footage.

Netflix is no stranger to dabbling in true crime with recent releases including the ongoing mystery of Making a Murderer, disturbing Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, and the strange horrors of Abducted in Plain Sight, all of which were binge-watched by almost the entire Netflix community, and we're sure this one will be no different.
