Announcing the 2016 SAG Awards Nominees!

Nominations for the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced on Wednesday by Anna Faris and Anthony Mackie. This award show is particularly interesting because the award recipients are nominations by the actors in the SAG union. In short, these people are being honored by their colleagues. Some of the big hitters who scored nominations include Leonardo DiCaprio for The Revenant, Christian Bale for The Big Short, Cate Blanchett for Carol, and Johnny Depp for Black Mass. Both Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay have been nominated for Room, and — surprise! — the whole cast of Straight Outta Compton has been nominated. Meanwhile, in television, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Homeland, House of Cards, and Mad Men all scored multiple nominations, including outstanding performance by a cast.
