Issa Rae's Insecure is a hit for a lot of reasons, but there's no denying that the sexiness is a huge factor in its success. And yes, that means Joel Kinnaman's abs are on screen often enough to deserve their own credit.

This royal soap is full of backstabbing, family squabbles, and, of course, sex. Most of the heat is generated by the forbidden love between Princess Eleanor and her security guard Jasper. Believe it or not, the couple have only gotten steamier in season four.

Further proving that this isn't the Archie of your grandparents' childhood, Riverdale has upped the heat factor by roughly a thousand in season two. From that (literally) steamy shower scene starring Archie and Veronica to Betty and Jughead's romantic first time, this CW show is happy to push the boundaries of what a teen show on network TV can get away with.

Just because Olivia Pope said goodbye this year doesn't mean she didn't have some fun in the show's final season. The fierce leader of the Gladiators had her share of smoking-hot encounters and making no apologies for it. Scandal viewers will be happy to know that the show didn't lost any of its heat after seven years of proudly being one of TV's sexiest shows.

9. American Crime Story: Versace

Make no mistake, there were plenty of gruesome and unsettling moments in American Crime Story: Versace that won't stop haunting our dreams anytime soon. The series was about the chilling story of a real-life serial killer, after all. However, the show also served up some truly enticing and erotic scenes featuring its stars — Ricky Martin, Darren Criss, and your new TV boyfriend Édgar Ramírez.

10. Jamestown

British import Jamestown is a gritty take on the lives of the women who were sent over from England to marry the men who colonized America's first permanent settlement. While it's hard to believe such a violent, sexual show was snatched up by PBS, that's exactly what happened — and period drama fans should be delighted. Historical accuracy is beside the point because these colonial women are fully embracing their sexual sides and it's a joy to watch.

11. Lucifer

Season three of Lucifer is the show's most sinful season yet. Tom Ellis has never been hotter as the world's most famous fallen angel, and despite being on Fox, the series is happy to push its PG-13 rating as far as it can go without the censors stepping in.

Jamie and Claire are proof that sex just gets better with age. In season four, the time-traveling couple is starting a new life in America, and that life will no doubt include more scenes designed to make viewers feel a sudden need to crank up the air conditioner.

13. Station 19

This show is quite literally Grey's Anatomy in a fire station, so there's no way it wasn't going to immediately declare itself a sexy new favorite. When they're not fighting fires, the employees of Station 19 make plenty of time to tear each other's clothes off (and thank goodness for that).

Forget everything you thought you knew about Queen Victoria because as this PBS series proves, she was a confident, sexual ruler of the free world. Season two of the period drama only amped up the romance between Victoria and Albert as they expanded their family and continued to get to know one another. The end result is a historical couple who is impossible not to root for.

15. The Good Fight

Diane Lockhart is still fighting the good fight she started on The Good Wife, but now that she's been freed from the confines of network TV, she and her coworkers are also indulging in some of TV's best sex scenes. In truth, The Good Fight is one of the rare shows where everyone can remain fully clothed and still be hot as hell thanks to the sheer ambition and passion of the remarkable characters. However, when they do disrobe, no one is complaining.

18. Troy: Fall of a City

Netflix imported this swords and sandals show across the ocean for your viewing pleasure — emphasis on pleasure. The show serves up its first sultry sex scene within the first five minutes of the premiere, and things only get more provocative for Paris, Helen, and Achilles from there. This series might just make Netflix and chill a thing again.
