Show Me a Hero Trailer

Watch Oscar Isaac in HBO's Powerful New Miniseries, Based on a True Story

The Wire's David Simon is returning to HBO for a miniseries that frankly looks like it could be a continuation of his former TV show. Oscar Isaac stars in Show Me a Hero as a young mayor who is struggling to integrate low-income housing into white neighborhoods in Yonkers in the 1960s. If you saw Isaac in last year's A Most Violent Year, this will look extremely familiar to you. Except this time, he's on the right side of the law. The series also stars Catherine Keener, Jon Bernthal, Winona Ryder, and James Belushi, and it premieres on Aug. 16.
