Buckle Up — A New Trailer For Solo: A Star Wars Story Has Arrived!

Another extended look at Solo: A Star Wars Story premiered during Sunday's episode of American Idol. Are you freaking out? Because we're freaking out. The first full trailer is packed with even more details about the plot, giving us a better idea of what to expect when the movie hits theaters on May 25.

The latest footage from the Star Wars spin-off gives us a deeper look at the story, which will follow a young Han Solo (played by Hail Caesar!'s Alden Ehrenreich) long before he ever links up with Luke or Leia. Han is recruited by Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) to join his crew on a mission against an intergalactic gangster (Paul Bettany). On top of that, it details Han's first meeting with Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and Chewbacca.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is directed by Ron Howard and will be able to function as its own separate story, just like Rogue One. The prequel also stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Thandie Newton (Westworld) and will be here before you know it. Feel free to watch the trailer for the next chapter in the Star Wars universe as many times as you like above! We won't judge.
