A Former Mickey Mouse Club Star Is on American Crime Story, and You Probably Didn't Notice

One of the things that has been nagging at me as I watch American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson is this: why does Johnnie Cochran's associate, Carl Douglas, look so damn familiar?

Turns out, it's because he is played by Dale Godboldo. Children of the '90s may remember Dale as one of the dreamy stars of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. Here he is alongside fellow heartthrobs J.C. Chasez and Ryan Gosling, crooning Jodeci's "Cry For You" while rocking a beige linen vest and drawstring pants no boy at our middle school could ever dream of pulling off:

Mystery solved. Now, onto the next thing about American Crime Story that's been bothering me: did Robert Kardashian and O.J. Simpson really once order and eat oysters at a straight-up nightclub? Because no one would ever actually do that, right?
