The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards have finally found their host! After releasing the exciting list of nominations on Tuesday, MTV revealed on Twitter that none other than Katy Perry will keep the party going when the award show goes down on Aug. 27. Perry has had a pretty big year, releasing singles like "Bon Appétit" and "Swish Swish," off of her fifth studio album, Witness. In addition to hosting, Perry also racked up a ton of nominations for her new music. Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with eight nominations, while Perry is tied with The Weeknd for second most, at five each. Judging by her wild live performances recently, this is going to be one show to remember.
