Who Plays Chucky in Child's Play? 2019
Mark Hamill Makes His Chilling Debut as Chucky in New Clip From the Child's Play Reboot
A new and improved version of the infamous Chucky doll is about to wreak murderous havoc in the spooky upcoming reboot of Child's Play, due out on June 21. But since we still have a few weeks to go until we can see stars like Aubrey Plaza and Brian Tyree Henry face off against the newly WiFi-capable doll, there's something else you can watch to send a few chills down your spine in the meantime: a clip that introduces the truly terrifying voice of the new Chucky, Mark Hamill.
The Star Wars: The Last Jedi alum is replacing the former voice of the doll in the original franchise, actor Brad Dourif, but rest assured that he's still bringing an appropriate amount of unhinged menace to his portrayal (which makes sense, considering Hamill has had plenty of experience voicing The Joker in multiple animated DC series).
In the new clip, Hamill taunts the young boy, Andy Barclay (Gabriel Bateman), who has the unfortunate luck of bringing him home. "If they don't let us play, they all go away," Chucky calls out in a sing-song voice while hiding around Andy's apartment. "Are we having fun now?"
Eek. No wonder he stabbed Woody. Watch the clip above, then keep scrolling to see all the photos we've gotten of Hamill's Chucky, ahead.
