9 of Our Favorite TikTok Songs Right Now, From "Barbie World" to "One Margarita"

TikTok's impact on the music industry can't be understated. Many of the biggest hits of the last five years started to gain fans and soar up the Billboard charts thanks to TikTok. One of the first songs to really show off the power of TikTok was Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," which ended up sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks in a row and launched Lil Nas X — then a teenager trying to break into the industry — to superstardom. Other songs that got a huge boost from fans on TikTok were Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage," Doja Cat's "Say So," and Benee's "Supalonely," which all became favorites on the app. There are also tons of older songs that got a boost and found new fans on the app, like Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams," Taylor Swift's "Love Story," and Patsy Cline's "Crazy."

We've rounded up some of our most recent favorite TikTok songs. You can add them to your playlist, use them in your own videos, or find some inspiration for your own brand-new song. From "One Margarita" to "Barbie World," these are some of the best TikTok songs you can listen to right now.

"One Margarita" by That Chick Angel, Casa Di, and Steve Terrell

"One Margarita," aka "Margarita Song," is there when you're feeling really feisty. That Chick Angel revealed the bizarre inspiration for the sex-positive anthem in an August interview with "Entertainment Tonight." "It all started in late May," she told the outlet. "I was on my podcast . . . and we were covering a viral video at the time . . . and it was with Sister Cindy, who has her own big internet following, who is a very vivacious bold minister that preaches on campuses about abstinence."

She added: "In the video, she was just talking about the dangers of alcohol and how women just become out of their mind with sexual acts . . . and when I heard it, right before we started the show, in my head I was like 'Hmm, this feels more like the inspiration of a rap song.'" She freestyled a rap, cut it out of the episode, and posted it online. Carl Dixon — aka Casa Di — and Steve Terrell helped her turn it into a full song that's become the soundtrack for all sorts of summertime shenanigans.
