This Singer Is Turning Bridgerton Into a Musical on TikTok, and Her Songs Are Enchanting

It all started with a simple question: "OK, but what if Bridgerton was a musical?" Singer and TikTok user Abigail Barlow took that thought and ran with it, creating a slew of songs inspired by the popular Netflix series in just a few days and enchanting millions of fellow fans along the way. Each track is written from the perspective of different characters on the show, including Daphne Bridgerton, Simon Basset, and Penelope Featherington, and features instrumental music by Barlow's friend, Emily Bear.

One song that's particularly receiving a lot of love is "Burn For You," which is a nod to when Daphne and Simon confess their passionate feelings for one another shortly after getting married and before . . . well, ya know. "If this is what you call a honeymoon, pacing 'round our separate rooms, running from our elaborate ruse, we're doomed," Barlow sings. However, the song soon changes its tone when Simon and Daphne realize that they "burn" for each other, and glorious melodies ensue.

Barlow's Bridgerton-inspired musical has spread across TikTok faster than Lady Whistledown's gossip, with other users dueting her songs and even dream casting the hypothetical Broadway production. What's more, the project has also captured the attention and subsequent approval of Bridgerton showrunner Chris Van Dusen, actresses Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne) and Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), and even Netflix, which shared one of Abigail's TikToks on Twitter. Hey, if TikTok could help that Ratatouille musical come to fruition, we have a feeling the app's magical powers could provide this one a similar fate.

Ahead, listen to all of the delightful songs Barlow has written so far, and watch a few of the duets other users have shared. We need these tracks to hit Spotify ASAP!
