Every 2022 BRITs Performance, Featuring Adele, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Dave, and More
The 2022 BRIT Awards took place on Feb. 8 at The O2 Arena. Hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan, the ceremony saw a pretty impressive range of performers take to the stage throughout the night, including Anne-Marie, KSI, Dave, Ed Sheeran (who brought out Bring Me the Horizon's Oli Sykes), Holly Humberstone, Liam Gallagher, Little Simz, and Sam Fender.
The chart-topping Adele was a late addition to the lineup. On Feb. 1, she announced on Instagram that she'd be performing live at the event. "Hiya, so I'm really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!!" she wrote. "Anddddd I'll also be popping in to see Graham for a chat on the couch while I'm in town too! I'm looking forward to it! Oh, and Rich sends his love." The announcement came shortly after the singer was forced to cancel her Las Vegas residency, following the news that the majority of her tour crew had contracted COVID-19.
Adele wasn't the only artist that had to reschedule appearances, as Doja Cat was scheduled to perform at the BRIT Awards initially. A day before Adele's announcement, the US artist shared a statement on social media that read: "Unfortunately due to cases of COVID within my crew, I will no longer be performing at the BRITs. My team and I have been in rehearsals for weeks and despite taking the utmost caution, numerous members of my crew (both on and off stage) have tested positive for COVID. It's simply not safe for us to continue to rehearse together and put each other in harm's way. I can't wait to perform for my UK fans as soon as I can. Take care of yourselves."
