Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz have managed to make their relationship work despite the many, many celebrity breakups that have occurred in 2023 so far. Things seem to be going so well for them, in fact, that on Oct. 30, a source told People that the pair were engaged.

The couple were first linked in 2021 after they worked on filming Kravitz's directorial debut, "Pussy Island." They were soon spotted hanging out in New York City together, and their love seems to have continued to blossom from there. Though they haven't made too many public appearances, both have continued to sing each other's praises in interviews over the years. "He's just a wonderful human. He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do," Kravitz told GQ in 2022. "We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

Later that year, Kravitz told Deadline that she had Tatum in mind for his role in "Pussy Island" before even meeting him. "[He was the one] I thought of when I wrote this character," she said in a June 2021 interview. "I just knew from 'Magic Mike' and his live shows, I got the sense he's a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter."

"She's a perfectionist in the best possible way," Tatum told Variety that month. Kravitz, meanwhile, praised his acting in "Pussy Island" in an interview with Elle. "Looking at his work and hearing him speak about 'Magic Mike' and the live show, I'm like, I think he's a feminist," she said of Tatum. "You need to be so far from who this is, where it's not scary. And I don't think we've ever seen him play someone dark. I'm excited to see him do that." She also acknowledged their relationship for the first time, saying simply, "I'm happy."

That same month, Kravitz opened up to WSJ Magazine about working with Tatum. "When you make things with people it's a very sacred space, and when you're compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you're kind of sharing all of yourself," she said of Tatum. She also added that Tatum had stood up for her while making "Pussy Island." "Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet," Kravitz said. "I think if you can do something like that together, it's a good test. And we came out even stronger."

The news arrived a few days after the couple dressed as Rosemary Woodhouse and her baby from the horror classic "Rosemary's Baby" at a Halloween party that night, and in photos from the occasion, Kravitz appears to be wearing a sizable stone on her left ring finger.
