A Timeline of Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz's Relationship

The pair first connected while working on Kravitz's directorial debut, "Pussy Island," and dating rumors began swirling almost immediately. At the time, a source told People that the pair weren't dating.

Later that year, Kravitz told Deadline that she had Tatum in mind for his role in "Pussy Island" before even meeting him. "[He was the one] I thought of when I wrote this character," she said in a June 2021 interview. "I just knew from 'Magic Mike' and his live shows, I got the sense he's a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter."

Tatum and Kravitz were spotted hanging out together in New York City in the summer of 2021. In September 2021, a source told People that the "inseparable" pair had embarked on a new romance.

Though they didn't walk the red carpet together, the duo were spotted leaving the Met Gala side by side in 2021.

Kravitz and Tatum were spotted holding hands in New York City in October 2021. That Halloween, they also dressed up as Iris and Travis Bickle from the movie "Taxi Driver."

Both stars opened up about the other in interviews in February 2022, and they only had positive things to say.

"She's a perfectionist in the best possible way," Tatum told Variety that month. Kravitz, meanwhile, praised his acting in "Pussy Island" in an interview with Elle. "Looking at his work and hearing him speak about 'Magic Mike' and the live show, I'm like, I think he's a feminist," she said of Tatum. "You need to be so far from who this is, where it's not scary. And I don't think we've ever seen him play someone dark. I'm excited to see him do that." She also acknowledged their relationship for the first time, saying simply, "I'm happy."

Kravitz and Tatum enjoyed a trip to Italy together to celebrate their first anniversary in August 2022.

That same month, Kravitz opened up to WSJ Magazine about working with Tatum. "When you make things with people it's a very sacred space, and when you're compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you're kind of sharing all of yourself," she said of Tatum. ". . .I'm really grateful that this movie has brought him into my life that way."

Kravitz spoke openly about her and Tatum's romance in a GQ interview in November 2022. "He's just a wonderful human. He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do," she said. "We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

She also added that Tatum had stood up for her while making "Pussy Island." "Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet," Kravitz said. "I think if you can do something like that together, it's a good test. And we came out even stronger."

The pair continued to make the occasional public appearance together in 2023. In September, Tatum showed up to support Kravitz at the star-studded Kering Foundation Caring for Woman Dinner in New York City.

On Oct. 30, a source told People that Tatum and Kravitz were engaged. The news arrived a few days after the couple dressed as Rosemary Woodhouse and her baby from the horror classic "Rosemary's Baby" at a Halloween party that night, and in photos from the occasion, Kravitz appears to be wearing a sizable stone on her left ring finger.
