Leave it to Charlie Puth to make a sexy song sound even sexier. The "Light Switch" singer recently covered Sam Smith and Kim Petras's TikTok-famous anthem "Unholy" on SiriusXM, and his stripped-down rendition of the synth-heavy track has us feeling a little hot under the collar. Before performing, Puth told listeners, "I love this song, I love the people involved in this song, and I just spoke to Sam this morning and told [them] that I would be doing this." He added, "Hopefully I can do it justice," before smashing his version out of the park.

Solely accompanied by an acoustic guitar, Puth's smooth-as-silk vocals shone as he crooned the entire song from start to finish without skipping a beat — yes, he even included Petras's sped-up solo verse. We never knew we needed to hear him sing the line "Daddy, daddy, if you want it, drop the addy," but now that we have, it's ingrained in our brains from here on out.

"Unholy" commanded attention as soon as Smith and Petras began teasing it on TikTok in August, inspiring a sultry dance challenge before the full version even dropped on Sept. 22. The collaborative track recently nabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, making Smith and Petras the first openly nonbinary and transgender artists to top the chart, respectively. Fans can expect to hear Smith sing it during their "Gloria" tour across the UK and Europe next year.
