Just when you thought Josh Gad couldn't outdo himself after getting the casts of The Lord of the Rings, Splash, and Back to the Future back together, he managed to reunite the original cast of Ghostbusters on the June 15 episode of Reunited Apart. The latest iteration of Gad's YouTube series also served as a fundraiser in support of the Equal Justice Initiative, which is an organization that is committed to ending mass incarceration, excessive punishment, and racial inequality.
With help from Kumail Nanjiani, Gad quizzed stars Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts about whether or not they remembered their most iconic lines. Other guests included Jennifer Runyon, Steven Tash, William Atherton, Timothy Carhart, Michael Ensign, and Ray Parker Jr.
Still, no true Ghostbusters reunion could take place without Potts asking Gad important questions like, "Do you believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster, and the theory of Atlantis?" To which Gad replied, "If there's a reunion in it, I'll believe anything you say." Unfortunately, Ghostbusters: Afterlife director Jason Reitman couldn't say anything about the new film, but the whole thing is still a nostalgic walk down memory lane.
