Long before the fame and accolades, Maluma developed his writing skills by penning love poems on behalf of his friends. (Why are we not surprised?) The singer recently spoke about the "start" of his career on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and how it was the success of his love poems that made him realize he could have a future in songwriting. "I saw all the relationships that my friends had. They were working out with my poems, with my letters," he said. "I was like, 'Sh*t. I should do this for a living.'" Maluma added, "Then I started composing music and everything, here we are." Watch the entire charming interview above.
