Music Mood Board: On My Hot Girl Sh*t, Thanks to Megan Thee Stallion's Debut Album

Megan Thee Stallion. That's it, that's the lede. As much as I wanted to come up with an uberwitty opening line, that's all I need to say because the Houston rapper's name speaks for itself. Megan has really been through it this year, but her debut album, Good News, is undeniable proof that she's a conqueror and that she's here to stay. The 17-track LP, which dropped on Nov. 20, is a resounding "f*ck you" to her haters, a declaration of power, and an emphatic expression of sexual desire. It gave me a much-needed boost of energy that's going to sustain me through the weekend and probably the rest of the year. While I genuinely enjoyed every song on the record, I managed to pick my favorite jams.

"Shots Fired"

Megan swiftly and effectively body-slams Tory Lanez in this track, and I love to see it.

"Girls in the Hood"

If there's one song that always gets me up and dancing, it's Eazy-E's "Boyz-n-the-Hood." So I'm all for Megan sampling it on this track, and she definitely does it justice.
