It's been a whirlwind week for Lin-Manuel Miranda! Just one day before In the Heights is scheduled to hit theaters, Netflix finally dropped the official teaser for Tick, Tick... Boom!, his feature-film directorial debut. The movie is a stage-to-screen adaptation of the autobiographical musical by Rent creator Jonathan Larson and follows the late playwright's life in New York City as he balances waiting tables at a diner with trying to establish himself in the theater world.
The teaser shows Andrew Garfield as Jon racing against the clock to achieve his dreams, joined by Alexandra Shipp as Jonathan's girlfriend, Susan, Vanessa Hudgens as Karessa, Robin de Jesús as Michael, and many more stars. The first look begins with Garfield showing off his singing chops by crooning the song "Boho Days" and also includes a peek at a performance of "Louder Than Words." Tick, Tick... Boom! is expected to arrive on Netflix this fall, so get excited, Broadway buffs.
