Whew, how is it already Christmas time? OK, technically we still have to get through Thanksgiving first, but with all of these new holiday songs, it's certainly already feeling like "the most wonderful time of the year." This week, Netflix dropped their new holiday movie, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey, which has a magical soundtrack, and Pentatonix blessed us with a festive album. Similarly, Lil Nas X left the rodeo for the North Pole for his new single appropriately titled "Holiday." As POPSUGAR editors, my colleagues and I love discussing our new weekly music finds, so check out our recommendations in the latest edition of The Friday Drop ahead.

"Holiday" by Lil Nas X

"OK, this may not be your typical holiday song, but it's a damn bop! The song has so many quotable lyrics, like "Man, I snuck into the game, came in on a horse" and "Nobody tried to let me in, nobody opened doors / I kicked them motherf*ckers down, they didn't have a choice," that you simply can't resist singing along. Plus, the video for it is just so fun and original." — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“F2020” by Avenue Beat feat. Jessie Reyez

"We've all been through a lot this year, and nothing encapsulates that quite like this Avenue Beat song. The musical trio first dropped the track in July, but Reyez's verse on this new remix kicks things up a notch as she gripes about this year's woes. Personally, I'm always down for a collective venting session, so this is right up my alley." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Once Upon a December" by Pentatonix

"Pentatonix really knows how to deliver with their Christmas covers, and their latest album We Need A Little Christmas is no exception. While there are a handful of holiday classics on the album, one of my favorites is their cover of 'Once Upon a December' from the 1997 animated film Anastasia. Not only does it take me right back to my childhood, but the addition of Voctave as the choir makes it extra enchanting. Listening to their powerful vocals, you really feel like you're dancing with ghosts like the scene in the movie." — Kelsie Gibson, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Therefore I Am” by Billie Eilish

"Billie Eilish's lyricism drew me to her music years ago, and it hasn't disappointed yet. I love that she can be dark and despairing, but also light and humorous. The latter takes precedence over the former in this song, especially with the first verse that, admittedly, made me chuckle. "Stop, what the hell are you talking about?" she says with a laugh. "Get my pretty name out of your mouth / We are not the same with or without." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Tan Enamorados" by CNCO

"The boys of CNCO know how to get my heart racing, especially when they're singing about love. Their latest song is a cover of Ricardo Montaner's 1988 hit, and the accompanying video pays homage to New Kids On The Block's, "(You've Got It) The Right Stuff." I already can't wait for their Déjà Vu album." — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

"This Day" by Usher and Kiana Ledé

"While Usher and Kiana Ledé's rendition of 'This Day' from Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey was technically released last month, it still deserves a shoutout now that the movie is officially on Netflix. I'm a sucker for musicals, and this is one of the best ones I've ever seen. The entire soundtrack is a pure delight, but this opening number is extra magical. When you're done listening to Usher and Ledé's beautiful version, be sure to check out the original song, which is performed by Justin Cornwell and Sharon Rose in the movie." — Kelsie Gibson, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Grey Area” by 2 Chainz

"You can't play this unless it's at full volume. Oh, and you have to put your stank face on. Those are the rules!" — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Seasons of Love" by Pentatonix

"When I saw that Pentatonix was covering 'Seasons of Love' for their new holiday album, I knew I was in for a treat. As a theater nerd, their rendition of the hit song from Rent is giving me all the feels. And yes, Kirstin Maldonado completely hit that high note! I love that their We Need a Little Christmas album has the perfect balance of traditional holiday songs and popular tracks that still feel Christmas-y. Basically, what I'm saying is that I'm going to be listening to this album all winter long." — Kelsie Gibson, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Fixerupper” by Tayla Parx

"I'm going to actively ignore the fact that Parx's lyric 'my heart's a fixer-upper' hits too close to home, emotionally. I'd rather not confront my romance-related shortcomings. That being said, this track is a banger, and I'll be dancing to it for days to come." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Ain’t Over You” by Brother.

'This is one of those emotive songs that makes me wish I was in an indie rom-com. Picture it: I just broke up with my hipster boyfriend, and I go to the record store where we first met. 'Ain't Over You' begins to play as I'm perusing through the alternative rock section, and, boom, my ex walks in. We make eye contact and realize that we were meant to be together. I hate that I just said that, but the point remains: this song is great, and you should definitely stream it." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment
