In April, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino confirmed that the reboot will take place in four 90-minute installments. Then in May, Graham revealed that the title will be Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

The show will address Edward Herrmann's death.

Sadly, Edward Herrmann, who played Richard on the series, died in 2014. Sherman-Palladino spoke with TVLine about how his absence will affect the show: "It's later in [the lives of the Gilmore women] and we're meeting up with them and finding out what they've been doing but, more than that, that all three of their lives are going to change," she said. "And for Emily, it had to be that Richard was gone. And what did that mean? What does it mean for all three of the girls? [A tragedy like that] brings up thoughts of, 'Where am I? Where am I going? What am I doing?' Because it's mortality. Something they loved is gone, which means things you love will not be around forever. And you can't take them for granted . . . It's walking onto that Gilmore set that is going to be a very different feel, because one piece is missing. So it looms large over the work that we'll do. And definitely the stories are of where the ladies are and where they're going."

"Our plan is to get as many of the lovely men back as possible," Sherman-Palladino told TVLine in February. Since then, Rory's three major boyfriends are all confirmed to return!

One of the characters might be getting married.

After one fan posted a snap from the Warner Bros. Studio lot of a lamp with a Gilmore Girls "wedding" hold sheet taped to it, people lost their minds over which character would be getting married. While nothing has been officially confirmed, there are a lot of theories ranging from Lorelai to Dean.

Lorelai might be pregnant!

The show's Instagram shared this photo at the beginning of August. The Gilmore girls love Pop-Tarts, but astute fans know that Lorelai only craves apples when she's pregnant. Gasp!

There will be some "fantastic" Luke and Lorelai scenes.

Talking with Us Weekly, Scott Patterson (Luke) confirmed that Luke and Lorelai will have some "fantastic" scenes together, including his favorite scene ever. "We did it in one of these four chapters. There are two that are penultimate Luke and Lorelai scenes. It will be the scenes to end all Luke and Lorelai scenes."

Patterson also spilled quite a bit about his relationship with Lorelai to E! News while attending Entertainment Weekly's pre-Emmys party in September:

"We are together and we are figuring out our next move. There are definitely some fireworks there. We did some really intense adult scenes. Since the movies are only an hour and a half long it has way more detail and the writing is deeper and seems longer so it sort of changed. Fans are not expecting this, but it's more a film now than it is a TV show. Also, Ed Herrmann passed away so we deal with that and that affects the whole dynamic. It affects all of the relationships. There has been sexual tension for a long time. We are together, and I mean we don't arm wrestle at night. It will be addressed again, and again, and again and then we have coffee . . . I'm going to get in so much trouble for this!"

Michel is getting a backstory.

Yanic Truesdale told POPSUGAR that he is excited about the depth that has been added to his character's storyline. "We get to find out more about who Michel is, and his personal life, which we haven't really seen much of during the series," he said. "That is the most gratifying part of going back for me. I have an arc. The character of Michel has an arc, and is revealing more of himself."
