Summer is (basically) here, and while that means slipping into a swimsuit for some much needed fun in the sun, it also means heading to the desert for some of the best music festivals of the year. Whether you're a newbie to the whole scene or you're an old festival pro, we have the perfect guide for you. Lineups for some of your favorite festivals have already been announced. Hangout Music Festival
- Where: Gulf Shores, AL
- When: May 20-22
- The headliners: The Weeknd, Florence + the Machine, Calvin Harris, Alabama Shakes, HAIM, Grimes, Cage the Elephant, Run the Jewels, Flume, Miike Snow, Lenny Kravitz, Fetty Wap, and Panic at the Disco
- Why we're excited: Chill by the shore while listening to some of music's hottest stars. It's what Summer is all about.

BottleRock
- Where: Napa, CA
- When: May 27-29
- The headliners: Stevie Wonder, Florence + the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Lumineers, Death Cab for Cutie, Lenny Kravitz, and Walk the Moon
- Why we're excited: If the lineup doesn't win you over, the overflow of wine and cheese in Napa certainly will.

Sasquatch!
- Where: George, WA
- When: May 27-30
- The headliners: Florence + the Machine, The Cure, Disclosure, Major Lazer, Alabama Shakes, Leon Bridges, A$AP Rocky, and Grimes
- Why we're excited: After the Grammys, so many people discovered Alabama Shakes. Why not take a weekend trip to see the band that everyone is raving about?

Governors Ball
- Where: New York City
- When: June 3-5
- The headliners: Kanye West, the Strokes, the Killers, Beck, HAIM, Of Monsters and Men, Elle King, Robyn, and Miguel
- Why we're excited: After Kanye West's infamous Grammys moment of 2015, he and Beck will reunite once again. Why read about it on Twitter when you can see it live?

Bonnaroo
- Where: Manchester, TN
- When: June 9-12
- The headliners: Pearl Jam, J. Cole, Ellie Goulding, HAIM, Adam DeVine, Miguel, Sam Hunt, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
- Why we're excited: Not only will Ellie Goulding likely blow everyone away with her incredible voice, but funny people like Adam DeVine will probably leave you in stitches with their comedy routines.

- Why we're excited: From country to pop, and all that in between, this festival has something for everyone.

- When: July 15-17
- The headliners: Miguel, Twin Peaks, Carly Rae Jepsen, FKA Twigs, Beach House, and The Hotelier
- Why we're excited: Who knows? Jepsen may pack on the nostalgia and bring Bob Saget on stage again.

Austin City Limits
- Where: Austin

- Why we're excited: Everything's bigger in Texas and this lineup proves that. From country to rap, this festival has everything to keep you entertained.
