Brokeback Mountain

Originally published in The New Yorker in 1997, the short story Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx inspired the 2005 film starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as Wyoming ranchers in the '60s who fall in love despite being involved with women at home.
