5 Shows to Watch If You Loved Sons of Anarchy
It doesn't matter how much time has passed since Sons of Anarchy ended: it still sucks that it's over. Sure, there may be a spinoff in the works, but what are we supposed to do until then? Nothing currently airing on TV is quite like the FX biker series, but there are a few shows that we would suggest if you're in a rut without Jax Teller and pals. Take a look to get our recommendations, and check out Charlie Hunnam's sexiest moments on the show.
Hell on Wheels
AMC's Western series may take place at a different time in history, but it's just as dark and violent as Sons of Anarchy. The show follows Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) as a former Confederate soldier whose family is killed in the Civil War.
Narcos
While the drug trade is featured heavily on Sons of Anarchy, Netflix's original series Narcos completely revolves around it. The show chronicles Pablo Escobar's infamous rise to power in the late '70s and early '80s. However, while you were usually rooting for Jax Teller as an antihero, it's pretty hard to be on Pablo's side, because, well, he's a monster.
Peaky Blinders
This series out of the UK is essentially Sons of Anarchy, if Sons of Anarchy took place in post-WWI England and featured horses instead of motorcycles. Cillian Murphy stars as mob boss Tommy Shelby, and if you miss Charlie Hunnam, the ridiculously sexy Murphy might just be your remedy.
Better Call Saul
While Breaking Bad is long over, Better Call Saul is just warming up. Saul may be more comedic than any of the characters on Sons of Anarchy, but the show itself is just as gritty, realistic, and crime-filled.
Vikings
Finally, Vikings may look a heck of a lot different than Sons of Anarchy, but it shares many elements: sexy male leads, strong female characters, overt violence, and lots of leather. Season four is currently airing, so it's not to late to hop on the train!
