Guilt: The story follows American student Grace Atwood, who is having the time of her life while studying abroad in London. After a long night of partying with her roommate and friend, Irish student Molly Ryan, Grace leaves their shared apartment to go up on the roof with her French boyfriend, Luc Pascal.
Real life: Amanda Knox was having the time of her life while studying abroad in Italy in the Fall of 2007, where she met and became fast friends with her English roommate, Meredith Kercher. While the two didn't party together on the night before her murder, they did hang out often, attending music festivals together and hitting the town. The night that Meredith was murdered, Amanda claimed she had been with her Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, the whole time.
