With rumors circling that Sandra Oh may be returning to Grey's Anatomy when it returns in September, we decided to put together a little recap of why Cristina Yang is the best thing to have ever happened to the show (not that you needed reminding). She Is a Straight-Up Savage
Cristina may have been dedicated to saving lives, but she is also great at metaphorically ending existences. No one is safe from her put-downs, especially not her interns. To this day, no one on Grey's has been realer than Cristina.

She Dances It Out
When things got tough, Cristina doesn't just mope around and feel sorry for herself. Instead, she dances it out. And thank god she does, because if it were up to Meredith, they'd just hide under a blanket all day listening to Bon Iver.

She Puts Up With Meredith's Crap
As feisty as she is, Cristina has the patience of a saint. Having to deal with Meredith's problems on a daily basis is a full-time job. It's a miracle she is able to fit in any surgery time at all.

She Is Fiercely Loyal
It's fair to say that Cristina and Meredith go through some rocky patches; their friendship is certainly tested. They survived death, breakups, and altar jiltings. Throughout it all, they manage to still be each other's person.

She's Honest to Perfection
Cristina has no filter, and that's what makes her so wonderful. While most of the other doctors (especially the men) put up a facade, Cristina is always 100 percent herself, which is great — apart from when it comes to practicing bedside manner, then it's not so great.
