25 Scary-Clown Movies That'll Give You Nightmares for Days

"The Clown at Midnight" starts with the gruesome murder of an opera singer named Lorraine, who was supposedly targeted by a bloodthirsty clown. Years down the line, a group of high-school students, including Lorraine's daughter, Kate (Sarah Lassez), insist on reopening the opera house even though Lorraine's ghost might be haunting it. The kids check out the building, and murders start taking place as the menacing clown lurks about — although the film cranks out a few twists along the way. The late Christopher Plummer stars as Harlan Caruthers, the suspicious opera-house owner who knows more than he's letting on.
