The end of the very first episode of Gilmore Girls is paralleled by the end of the very last — a scene of Rory and Lorelai happily talking while sitting at Luke's, with Luke himself in the background. It's a snapshot of the show at its happiest: the relationship between the girls is healthy and they are at their go-to spot in the town they love, with someone close by who cares about them both. All is right in their world.
Sure, the reboot may not use this exact same scene again for its last shot, but we have to see the Gilmore girls enjoying at least one meal at Luke's — complete with Luke judging them for their orders and then bringing them extra fries/coffee without asking.
