Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel
Brosnahan's star had been rising for years before she took home awards for her role as Midge; she most memorably played they key role of Rachel Posner on House of Cards, and since then she's been on TV series Manhattan and The Blacklist, and appeared in movies The Finest Hours and Patriots Day. Now she's front and center as the joke-cracking Upper West Side mom enjoying a new career as a stand-up comic.

Alex Borstein as Susie
Borstein plays a bartender-slash-Midge's manager. Borstein herself is a Gilmore Girls alum, having played iconic designer Miss Celine, among other characters. She'll also always be known for her hilariousness on the sketch comedy series MADtv.

Michael Zegen as Joel Maisel
Zegen plays Midge's husband who introduces her to the world of stand up before breaking her heart. Zegen has popped up in quite a few high-profile places in recent years, like as recurring character Randall on The Walking Dead, a stint on Girls as Hannah's co-worker, and in Oscar-nominated Brooklyn.
