The Full Cast of the Handmaid's Tale Adaptation

Hulu has adapted Margaret Atwood's dystopian bestseller The Handmaid's Tale into a new series, and we're still getting used to seeing the characters we've come to know from the books embodied onscreen. Elisabeth Moss is leading the cast, which also includes Alexis Bledel and Joseph Fiennes — but they're not the only familiar faces. Mad Men star Moss is playing Offred, who is stripped of her identity and gets thrust into working for a high-ranking government official.

Alexis Bledel as Ofglen

Bledel is leaving Gilmore Girls behind to leap into this drama, where she plays Offred's ally, Ofglen.

Samira Wiley as Moira

Orange Is the New Black alum Wiley stars as Moira, a friend from Offred's past.

Yvonne Strahovski as Serena Joy

Strahovski (who you may recognize from Chuck) is playing The Commander's barren wife, Serena Joy.

Joseph Fiennes as The Commander

Fiennes (American Horror Story) plays The Commander, who runs the house that Offred lives in.

Max Minghella as Nick

Minghella (The Social Network) is playing Nick, The Commander's chauffeur.

O-T Fagbenle as Luke

London-born actor Fagbenle is playing Offred's former husband, Luke.

Amanda Brugel as Rita

Rita (Brugel) is in charge of cooking at The Commander's house, and she's not especially pleasant.
